On most of my flatware listings, shipping for items up to 13 ounces is First Class and under $5.00. Over 13 ounces is USPS Flat Rate Priority (if it fits it ships) and I charge $7.00 for a $6.10 box because I need to print labels, buy tape, etc. If the item is too big or heavy to go in a small Flat Rate Box, then shipping is $11 for the next sized box. If it's a wierdly shaped item or for some reason doesn't go in a mailer or Flat Rate Box I usually eyeball it and charge a set rate which is clearly stated in the listing. Shipping insurance up to $50 is included on Priority items for free by the US Postal Service. Delivery Confirmation is ALWAYS purchased! Thank you for looking at my little flatware store!
